When we first got serious about the Tank 300 at IMCHIP, we immediately realized that the potential of this 2.0-liter engine was huge. Over the years of working with dozens of such SUVs, we have tested solutions and are ready to show what the Tank 300 is capable of after professional chip tuning.
Below we show measurements, figures and a description of how we eliminate the shortcomings of the car. We offer:
- Increased power and torque;
- Reduction of acceleration time (see measurements below);
- 20% reduction in fuel consumption%;
- Setting the temperature regime of the coolant (solving the problem of overheating) is especially important now.
POWER AND ACCELERATION
Here's how the measurements have changed (air temperature +10°C, driver alone):
- Acceleration 0-100 km/h – it was 9.13 seconds / it became 8.02 seconds
- Acceleration 0-170 km/h – it was 32.01 seconds / it became 24.89 seconds
- Acceleration of 80-170 km/h (the most important for overtaking on the highway) – it was 25.57 seconds / it became 19.26 seconds

At the same time, the Tank 300 received:
- Power – was 220 hp / became 270 hp.
- Torque – was 380 Nm / became 500 Nm
The dynamics become predictable and brisk. The gearbox is more responsive. The thoughtfulness disappeared when pressing the gas pedal.
FUEL CONSUMPTION -20%
Many people are afraid of chip tuning because of the myth of the "gobbling motor". In IMCHIP, we did the opposite.: The Tank 300 drives faster after firmware, but spends less. Adjusting the fuel supply and ignition angles has reduced fuel consumption by up to 20% or more, depending on the driving style. The average consumption is now 10-12 liters.
SAVING THE TANK 300 FROM OVERHEATING IN THE HEAT OF +38°C
This section is one of the most important. In the summer of 2025, we specifically tested the Tank 300 in extreme conditions: the temperature outside is +38°C, the air conditioner is on, and the climate control is working. The diagnosis showed alarming figures:
The temperature of the coolant in the plug is 100°C;
On the move, the temperature jumped from 80 to 103 °C – constant fluctuations, there is no stability.
The optimal temperature for a long and safe engine life is 85-90°C. 100°C is already a risk zone, especially during prolonged climbs or off–road driving.
We have recalibrated the fan's operating temperature and coolant control algorithms. After flashing on the same Tank 300 with the same outdoor temperature of +38°C and a working air conditioner, we got a stable 87°C – no spikes, no overheating.
HOW DO WE INSTALL THE FIRMWARE AND WHY IS IT SAFE?
We don't open the control unit. Tank 300, everything is done through the standard OBD connector. Everything is completely software-based. We do not remove or dismantle the ECU, or remove economic installations. The dealer's warranty remains, and it can be rolled back to stock at any time.
